What Are Crypto Futures? (Simple Version)

You have already learned to read candlestick charts. Now, a quick word on what “futures” means on exchanges like MEXC. A futures contract lets you bet on whether a price will go up or down — without buying the actual Bitcoin or Ethereum. You put up a small amount of money (called margin) as a deposit. If you are right, you profit. If you are wrong, you lose part or all of that deposit. Futures can use leverage, which means controlling a larger position with less money. Leverage amplifies both gains and losses. That is why beginners should use low leverage or practice on paper first.

💡 If this feels overwhelming, start by reading charts only. There is no rush to place real trades.
